Launch of Patterns of Flora | Mapping Seven Raasay Habitats

ATLAS Arts is thrilled to launch Patterns of Flora | Mapping Seven Raasay Habitats, an ATLAS Arts commission by artist Frances Priest in collaboration with botanist Stephen Bungard that celebrates the diverse plant life of the Island of Raasay.

Frances Priest has made a bespoke collection of ceramic artworks that are permanently sited within Raasay House. These decorative works take their form from the island’s varied plant life and in particular seven different habitats: bog, coast, freshwater loch, limestone, moor, mountain and woodland. Alongside these artworks a special map has been made that offers an imaginative survey of the botanical walks around these habitats.

We are also super excited about the two new ATLAS Editions to accompany the project; a signed series of handmade parian vases featuring the artist’s botanical designs and an editioned colouring book of the original drawings.

Vases are priced at £48 each

Colouring book is priced at £12.50 each
